these were my first claw machine plushies :3 took me like 10 tries to get the hang of it, but I managed to master the art of plushie hunting. came back to complete the collection with the same keychain in a shark costume, he’s always chillin on the desk :white_heart:

A crane arcade opened up just five minutes up the road from me in a shopping complex, and a few times a week I’ll head there since me and a friend go for sushi while he’s on break. It’s become a habit to throw in $10 and try and pick up some plushers.

Here’s a few I have picked up lately~

These are super cute. I love the ephemeral nature of some claw plushes. You’d see a type of plush for a year or so and then they’d stop making them! It makes them more special.

I’m back with a new addition! Artemis from Sailor Moon! Pairs very nicely with the Moon Kitty I just got~

A lot of these crane games generally have a weight system that is more inclinded to grant you a reward the longer it’s been since the last prize was won. You’ll commonly see this in games where the plusher has been picked up, but the claw will open/drop them once it’s fully retracted before dragging and dropping them to the shute. The odds are variable from machine to machine I believe.

One of the tricks I employ frequently (and won Artemis with) is aiming for plushers which are already close to the shute itself, so even if the claw isn’t going to be cooperative, there’s a chance it may bounce on the barrier and fall into the shoot anyways, or at least closer for additional attempts at this. Lightweight plushers are perfect for this strategy, whereas the heavier ones with larger claws are more difficult to pull off this trick with.
